Manage account security

You will learn how to update your profile photo, change your password, start an email change, and manage MFA.

Use this page for your own account. Workspace and project access are covered in Manage members and access.

Open your account pages

Open your profile or account controls from the app sidebar or account area.

Use:

  • Profile to update how you appear across Tixio.
  • Account security to change password, start an email change, and manage multi-factor authentication.

Some controls are only available for email/password accounts. If you sign in with Google or SSO, use that provider for password and MFA settings.

Update your profile photo

Open Profile.

In Profile photo, choose Upload photo and select an image file. Tixio accepts PNG, JPEG, GIF, and WebP up to 5 MB.

After upload, your avatar updates across Tixio. If you want to return to an initials avatar, choose Remove photo.

Change your password

Open Account security and find Password.

Enter:

  1. Current password.
  2. New password.
  3. Confirm new password.

Use the live Password requirements checklist. Choose either a 12-character passphrase or a shorter complex password that satisfies every listed requirement.

Optionally select Revoke all API keys if you want existing personal API keys to stop working after the password change. This is useful if you suspect the account or an API key may have been exposed. Service account keys are not revoked by this control.

For creating keys, MCP setup, and service accounts, read Manage API keys and service accounts.

Select Update password.

Start an email address change

Open Account security and find Email address.

Enter the New email, then choose Send confirmation email.

Tixio sends a confirmation link to the new inbox. Open the link while signed in to Tixio. Tixio also sends a message to your current address with a cancel link in case the request was not yours.

Until you confirm the new inbox, continue using your current email address to sign in.

Enable MFA

Open Account security and find Multi-factor authentication.

To enable MFA:

  1. Enter your current password in Password to enable MFA.
  2. Start setup.
  3. Add the account to your authenticator app using the secret key or provisioning link.
  4. Copy and store the recovery codes somewhere safe. They are shown once.
  5. Enter the 6-digit Verification code from your authenticator app.
  6. Choose Enable MFA.

After MFA is enabled, Tixio requires an authenticator code or recovery code when you sign in with email and password.

Store recovery codes safely

Recovery codes are backup sign-in codes. Each code works once.

Store them somewhere you can access if you lose your phone, such as a password manager. Do not store them only on the same device that runs your authenticator app.

If you run out of recovery codes or lose access to your authenticator, contact a workspace owner or your administrator for the recovery process used by your organization.

Disable MFA

Open Account security. If MFA is enabled, the MFA section shows the disable form.

Enter:

  1. Current password.
  2. Authentication code from your authenticator app or a recovery code.

Choose Disable MFA. After disabling, email/password sign-in no longer asks for an authenticator code.

When controls are unavailable

If Account security says a control is available only for email/password accounts, use the provider you use to sign in:

  • Google account settings for Google sign-in.
  • Your organization's identity provider for SSO sign-in.

If MFA setup is temporarily unavailable, try again later or ask your admin.
